BALANCING HISTORY AND INNOVATION: A STRONG ORGANIZATIONAL CULTURE

Remember history to plan your future; problems lead to innovations, and rectifying the faults in history leads to better innovations. From the beginning, humans have searched for an altered state of mind, making a pathway to numerous innovations. When planning for the future, the most calculated effort should be revisiting history. If this does not happen, it limits the organizational innovation potential and prevents it from reaping the benefits of previous knowledge. As its core, innovation is all about trade between previous experiences and exploration, with the knowledge of previous experiences and history, exploring new ways and opportunities to deliver value. Inculcating traditions and history into innovation and novelty is a process which every business looks up to. Innovations lead development in all aspects, the words creativity and innovation are often referred in the same context. Still, these are two different things. In simple words, innovation is something that makes our life easy; it need not be the same as creativity.

The immersion in the prospects for tomorrow limit or even eliminate the knowledge we can learn from previous innovations; we can do so by demanding deeper engagement with history and even deeper humans. History provides us insights and clues on interactions between humans and innovations of today and tomorrow to anticipate the future perspective. Investigating what could have been subverting the malicious conviction that a few trendsetters were bound for predominance and that nothing could stop them. So, one method for drawing in the past is through “imagine a scenario in which” psychological tests or back view reflect situations that produce pointedly unexpected results compared to what occurred.
